Aubrey Plaza turned heads as she stepped out on red carpet for the first since her husband’s Jeff Baena’s death.
Plaza walked the red carpet for the premiere of her upcoming film Honey Don’t! on Friday at Cannes Film Festival.
For the occasion, the actress donned a full-length, nude, sleeveless dress embellished with gems, with the head-turning sheer ensemble revealing a matching corset underneath.
To elevate her looks she kept her makeup simple and natural and wore dangling diamond earrings.
Earlier in January, her husband Baena’s body was found in Los Angeles home, according to TMZ. He was pronounced dead at the scene and after examination his manner of death was ruled a suicide.
Previously, Plaza made her first public appearance at the 50th anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live, where she paid tribute Baena with a tie-dye shirt.
As per the People magazine, the pair began dating in 2011, and remained private about their relationship. Fans learned they tied the knot in May 2021, when Plaza called Baena her “darling husband” in an Instagram post.
Plaza’s new film Honey Don’t! also stars Margaret Qualley and Charlie Day, as well as filmmakers Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke.
It follows the story of a small-town investigator who seeks answers on a series of mysterious deaths linked to a church.
The film is set to be released in theatres on August 22.
