Sydney Sweeney gives three-word savage response to viral soap query

Sydney Sweeney has finally set the record straight on who came up with the viral bathwater soap idea.

While attending the New York premiere of her upcoming film Echo Valley, the Euphoria star was asked how the now-infamous soap, infused with her actual bathwater, came to be. Her reply was short, sharp, and unexpected.

“I pitched it,” Sweeney, dazzling in a red bustier gown, responde to an E! News query on Wednesday, June 4, before quickly slipping out of frame.

The internet was quick to react. While some fans praised her boldness and marketing savvy, others were left cringing.

“In the world of swipe, scroll, forget, she’s winning,” one supporter applauded, with others echoing similar sentiments in defence. “In the world of swipe, scroll, forget, she’s winning,” a second wrote.

However, not everyone was impressed. “That’s even worse,” one user commented, while another added, “Only she could come up with that creepy idea.”

The product, Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, was first announced on May 29 via a joint Instagram post by Sweeney and the body care brand Dr. Squatch.

“You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad … so we kept it,” the Instagram post read. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.”
